I thank God for the good friends and family who celebrated my mother's seventy fifth birthday yesterday. My mother didn't want any "fuss" as she said but my older sisters insisted on having a few friends and family over for lunch and at the end of the festivities she admitted that she enjoyed herself.

Over the years there has been a huge chasm in my family but this last month has brought a lot of changes in our family dynamic and I look forward to my daughter growing up in a much closer and loving extended family.

Let the hating commence

Rihanna and Britney spears performed together as the opening act for tonight's Billboard Music Awards. Rihanna wore a white leotard with thigh high boots, while Britney was dressed in a black leotard. I am waiting on the hypocrites to start commenting on how inappropriately Rihanna was dressed for tv. Some of these parents to visit the clubs and see what their teenage daughters are wearing....I'm just saying. People in glass houses should not throw stones.

Hello again

It has been two years since I blogged and so I've decided to restart as a way to eliminate some of the stress in my life. The last year has been very stressful in many ways, especially as a single mother, with a small child, trying to finish a degree. I've been caught up in my own problems but I think it's time to share my views on so many of the issues which have been affecting not only my life, but also people around the world. This blog won't only be about serious issues because there is so much ridiculous, hilarious and scandalous things happening in the world right now that I need to comment on.
